Fred Miller, miller, hill, snow - Kinston's Local News, Latest News ...

SNOW HILL — Mr. Fred &#8220Mutt” Miller, 85, died Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Mr. Miller was a lifelong resident of Greene County, a retired farmer, a member of Mount Calvary FWB Church and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, April 15, at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service with the Rev. Jim Marcum officiating. Interment will follow in the Rainbow Cemetery. Mr. Miller is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rowena Williams Miller; sons, Fred A. Miller and wife, Stella of Snow Hill, Jerry Miller and wife, Rhonda P. Miller of Snow Hill, Danny Miller and wife, Tammy of Snow Hill, and Paul Miller and wife, Rhonda C. Miller of Snow Hill; a brother, Rev. Tom Miller and wife, Mable of Hookerton; sisters, Ruby Wood and husband, Willie of Ormondsville, and Dorothy Cannon of Ayden; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at the funeral home and other times at the residence, 1389 N.C. 58 South, Snow Hill.
