Craig Miller gets veterans' publication endorsement in ...

Craig Miller, Republican candidate for the Congressional District 6, announced this morning he was endorsed by the Veterans’ Vision publication out of Washington D.C.

The endorsement comes despite the fact that at least one other candidate in the crowded race, DemocratHeather Beaven of Palm Coast, also is a veteran. Miller, of Winter Park, served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Beaven served in the Navy during Desert Storm.

District 6, newly created this year and awaiting a court challenge, covers the coastal areas of Volusia, Flagler and St. Johns counties.

Veterans’ Vision is a free-circulation magazine that focuses on public policy and politics with veterans’ and their interests in mind.

The publisher, Brian Hampton has called Miller a “Veteran for Veterans“.

Miller responded, “I am honored to receive the endorsement of Veterans’ Vision.  As a combat Veteran of the Vietnam conflict, I feel such a bond to those men and women serving in our Armed Forces.  We must ensure that they are not forgotten when they come home after having served their country so honorably.  It is because of their sacrifice to our nation that we are truly free.”
